Last summer I was at Sands SkyPark Observation Deck which is on the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. It was almost raining at the moment. The sky and the cloud was getting darker and darker. I quickly took these shots before it rained.

Can you see Merlion?

A couple of domes in the picture are called Esplanade. Esplanade is a famous theatre and concert hall. It also offers places where you can dine or go shopping. Esplanade is just a 10-minute walk from the City Hall Station, which is at Swissotel hotel, the tallest building in the picture, through an underpass which also links shopping centers: Raffles City, Citylink, Marina Square, SuntecCity and MilleniaWalk.

I guess they were looking at Singapore Flier.

Actually I was at Singapore Flier before I came here, the rooftop. But unfortunately, it was closed due to the weather reason.

I left the rooftop and went down to the ground floor which is a department store called “The Shoppes.” It has nice shops, variety of restaurants, and also an ice skating rink! Amazingly, there is a canal with gondola-like boats, mimicking Venice, which customers can take a boat ride inside the store.

In fact, I was walking around for a while because I thought that I got stuck in this place while it was raining cats and dogs outside. Thirty minutes later, I found out that Marina Bay Sands literally connects to “Bayfront” MRT station!
